Cheadle East

Friday 27th January 2012

This month's stagger starts nearly in East Didsbury and stretches all the way to Cheadle Heath making it one of our longer journeys.

The starting point is an old railway station, which still has passing trains, none of which stop! It is in the rural Mersey Valley next to a garden centre. Anyone arriving on foot should be careful descending the very steep flight of steps from the main road. If a little unsteady on your feet, the longer route folloing the roadway may be advisable, but watch out for cars!

We then work our way back into Cheadle village and along Stockport Road towards Cheadle Heath.

There is a wide range of pubs on this stagger, starting with the aforementioned station building, and including large 'road house' establishments and corner locals.

Beer Scoring - Why it is important

If you don't score the beers you drink, when you visit the pub, how can we descide which are the best pubs in the branch area?

We use these scores to help in selecting the pubs for the GBG

Use CAMRA's national online voting system here (CAMRA membership required). Alternatively a score book can be obtained from, and then then returned to, our pubs officer
